TURF Talking Points
- TURF will take place in Indianapolis January 14 through February 5 (Super Bowl Sunday)
- A private kickoff gala will officially “open” the IDADA Art Pavilion January 13th. It will open to the public January 14th.
- TURF will culminate with the First Friday gallery tour February 3, the Friday before Super Bowl Sunday.
- TURF will encompass and help drive visitors to all IDADA galleries.
- TURF will introduce a national and international group of visitors to the world-class art galleries that are located in downtown Indianapolis
- The IDADA Art Pavilion will be the “kick off” point of TURF
- The IDADA Art Pavilion will be located in the historic old Indianapolis City Hall building, most recently home to the interim Central Library and Indiana State Museum
- The IDADA Art Pavilion is a joint effort of IDADA, the Super Bowl Host Committee, the Arts Council of Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Mayor’s office.
- The IDADA Art Pavilion will be an experiential gallery, with exhibits appealing to the senses of sight, sound and touch
- The IDADA Art Pavilion will free and open to the public Tuesday through Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. IPS and other organizations will be encouraged to bring tour groups to the pavilion during weekdays
- The IDADA Art Pavilion will be available to reserve for private gatherings.
- Food service will be provided by the Skyline Club
- This event is a first-of-its-kind and has never been done in a Super Bowl host city.
- IDADA is the Indianapolis Downtown Artists and Dealers Association and represents Art organizations and galleries in the 20 block area of the center city
